Faster and more effective leak detection

Trace gas sensor TS 810 SDI detects hydrogen.

The use of our new trace gas sensor TS 810 SDI opens up a wide range of benefits for manufacturing companies, testing institutes and surveyors. The high-precision sensor technology registers the hydrogen used as tracer gas for the detection of cracks and leaks, for instance in pressure tanks, pipes and tanks. Thus the use of this sensor working on the basis of the hydrogen measurement method is the effective alternative to conventional methods and the prerequisite for faster test processes. Moreover the high quality product „made in Germany“ is extremely low-priced as it uses the multifunction measuring meter T3000 as a basis.

Thanks to the hydrogen sensor TS 810 SDI users are provided with professional measurement equipment for tightness tests and leak detection, e.g. in weld seams, pressure tanks or pressure lines. As the sensor detects hydrogen, which is used as tracer gas in the usual 95/5 % forming gas, the user can easily determine the location of the highest hydrogen concentration within the measuring area. Due to its high resolution accuracy and its measuring range from 0 to 1,000 ppm H2 the sensor system captures even the lowest hydrogen concentrations from 1 ppm H2. To always ensure an optimum adjustment for the various applications, the sensor can be set to a lower sensitivity level.

Unique – the TS 810 SDI in combination with the T3000

Just like other sensors of the MultiMeasure programme, the trace gas sensor is connected to the multifunction measuring meter T3000*. The device also supplies the TS 810 SDI with energy. During measurement, rising and falling hydrogen concentrations are indicated by the two devices, both by an acoustic indicator in the hand-held sensor housing and by the numeric display of an indicative measured value on the display of the T3000. This way, with respect to the highest H2concentration, the user can be guided optionally by the signal tone interval or the displayed measured value and so systematically narrow down the position of the leak to be detected. The sensor sensitivity can conveniently be adjusted in five steps directly at the hand-held housing. Here, the acoustic indicator can also be switched on or off. Furthermore, the zero reset can be carried out at the push of a button – a special function for the differentiated indication measurement by means of two real-time measured values based on different position coordinates. And since we know that the conditions on site are hardly ever similar to those in a laboratory, the new trace gas sensor is equipped with a bendable gooseneck – allowing to determine measured values conveniently even in difficult circumstances.

* For the application of the TS 810 SDI a T3000 multifunction measuring meter, which is not included in the scope of delivery, is additionally required.
